Labyrinth Theater Company, the award-winning, downtown ensemble, today announced that world-renowned DJ, Rich Medina, will join Labyrinth Theater Company Member Craig 'muMs' Grant in A Sucker Emcee at the Bank Street Theater (155 Bank Street). A Sucker Emcee begins performances on September 10, with an official opening night set for September 23, 2014. Tickets are all $25 and are now on sale at http://labtheater.org.

A Sucker Emcee is written and performed by Craig muMs Grant, and directed by Jenny Koons. Infused with hip-hop, slam poetry and personal recollections, this one-man show charts the ups and downs of muMs' incredible journey, from growing up in the Bronx to starring on one of HBO's biggest shows. A life set against the backdrop of the birth of hip-hop, this is the story of man looking for his spotlight and finding it in the most unlikely of places. For this production, Labyrinth is transforming the space to include table seating and stools, in addition to standard theater seating.

Labyrinth Theater Company is devoted to providing affordable ticket prices for the community: all tickets for A Sucker Emcee are $25 general admission with no ticket fee. Tickets are available online at labtheater.org. More information is available at http://labtheater.org.

A Sucker Emcee will play the following performance schedule: Tuesdays - Saturdays at 8:00PM, and Sundays at 7:00PM. Doors will open and music will begin 30 minutes prior to each curtain time.

Labyrinth Theater Company will be hosting some special events in conjunction with the show, including a pre-show discussion with director Jenny Koons on Thursday, September 11 at 7pm, post-show talkbacks on Tuesday, September 16 and Tuesday, September 30, and special post-show events featuring spoken word artists, poetry, and music on Thursday, September 25, and Thursday, October 2.
