Conor McPherson's PORT AUTHORITY to Open Irish Rep's 2014-15 Theatre Season; First Three Productions Set

Off-Broadway's award-winning Irish Repertory Theatre announces the first three productions of its upcoming 27th theatre season. Due to theatre renovation that will commence this fall at its home base, located at 132 West 22nd Street, The Irish Rep's productions will be presented at the DR2 Theatre (103 East 15th Street in Union Square).

The Irish Repertory Theatre's 2014-2015 launches with a revival of Conor McPherson's PORT AUTHORITY, directed by Ciarán O'Reilly. The production, which features Billy Carter, Peter Maloney, and James Russell, begins previews on Wednesday, September 24th. The Press Opening is scheduled for Thursday, October 2nd. The production is scheduled to be performed through Sunday, November 16th.

The season will continue with the theatre's annual holiday production; this season's offering is the New York premiere of A CHRISTMAS MEMORY, a musical based on the classic Truman Capote short story. A CHRISTMAS MEMORY has a book by Duane Poole, lyrics by Carol Hall, and music by Larry Grossman. The production will be directed by Charlotte Moore. Previews begin Tuesday, November 25th. The Opening Night is schedule for Thursday, December 4th. The engagement will end on Sunday, January 4th.

The Irish Rep will begin the New Year with a revival of Hugh Leonard's classic memory play, DA. Directed by Charlotte Moore, DA begins previews on Wednesday, January 14, 2015. The Opening Night is scheduled for Thursday, January 22nd. The production is scheduled through Sunday, March 8th.

The Spring 2015 Production will be announced at a later date.
