AVENUE Q to Mark 14th Anniversary with National Anthem Appearances, New Website

AVENUE Q, winner of the 2004 Tony Award "Triple Crown" for Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book, is the coming of age musical comedy which has announced a series of public appearances and the launch of its new website.

Avenue Q's GRACE CHOI (pictured, below) will kick off the first of three public appearances by singing the national anthem at a home game for The Mets vs. The Cardinals on Thursday, July 20th at 12:00pm at Citi Field.

Shortly after, the cast of Avenue Q will return to Broadway in Bryant Park for a performance on Thursday, July 27th at 12:30pm.

On Wednesday, August 9th at 12:00pm Avenue Q's Danielle K. Thomas will return to Citi Field to sing the national anthem for the Mets vs. Rangers game.

In other news, Avenue Q has launched a vivid new web design which is aimed to capture that part of Avenue Q that is the New York Experience - coming here to find your purpose. The new website is intended to provide fans with an easier way to learn about the show's schedule, learn about the cast and creative teams and provide streamlined access to purchasing tickets. The new site is live and the URL remains www.AvenueQ.com.

Among the updated features, fans will be able to engage and interact with the Q-mmunity via the site's integrated social media buttons for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat.

AVENUE Q will be constantly updating its content with helpful information, articles, company announcements and even backstage cast antics via the show's Snapchat account.

AVENUE Q is the Tony Award-winning musical comedy featuring a diverse cast of people and puppets, scheduled to celebrate its 14th year on stage in NYC and around the globe come July 31, 2017. AVENUE Q performs at New World Stages in New York.

AVENUE Q has music and lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, book by Jeff Whitty, and is directed by Jason Moore. Based on an original concept by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, with puppets conceived and designed by Rick Lyon, Avenue Q has musical supervision by Stephen Oremus, choreography by Ken Roberson, scenic design by Anna Louizos, costume design by Mirena Rada, lighting design by Howell Binkley, and sound design by ACME Sound Partners. Musical director is Rick Bertone. Animation design is by Robert Lopez, incidental music is by Gary Adler, casting is by Cindy Tolan. Christine M. Daly is Production Stage Manager.

The current cast of Avenue Q includes Ben Durocher, Dana Steingold, GRACE CHOI, Jason Jacoby, Nicholas Kohn, Danielle K. Thomas, Kerri Brackin, Jed Resnick, Katie Boren, Michael Liscio, Jr. and Imari Hardon.

AVENUE Q became an overnight sensation on Broadway in July 2003 following a sold-out engagement - extended four times - presented Off-Broadway by Vineyard Theatre and The New Group.
