Wagner College Theatre continues its Stage One Season with the Obie-winning play, Stop Kiss by Diana Son, running November 18 through 23 in Stage One.

Directed by Melissa Firlit, in her WCT debut, Stop Kiss is a powerful love story set in New York City that explores an unexpected attraction between new female friends.

What seems like a story filled with tragedy quickly becomes much more, as we travel forward and backwards in time to see what led up to that moment of tenderness and brutality. A modern story about who we are, where we live, and who we become when we move on, Stop Kiss is ninety minutes of riveting theater.

Wagner College Theatre's Stage One production features performance theater majors Danielle James (Callie), Taylor Baskin(Sara), Noah Bridgestock (George), Chris Zika (Peter), Adam Goldenberg (Detective Cole), Becca Barrett (Mrs. Winsley), and Chelsea Loesel (Nurse).

Stop Kiss premiered Off-Broadway at the Public Theater under the direction of Jo Bonney, and featured Sandra Oh and Jessica Hecht.

The production design team includes Elise Pizzonia (sets), Becca Barrett and Chelsea Loesel (costumes), Ellen Schmoyer(lights), and Melissa Ferlit (sound). Margo Murphy-Gross is production stage manager.

Diana Son (Playwright) is the author of the plays Stop Kiss, Satellites, BOY, R.A.W. ('Cause I'm a Woman) and others. Stop Kiss and Satellites premiered at the Public Theater in NYC. Stop Kiss won the GLAAD Media Award for Best New York Production and Ms. Son won the Berilla Kerr Award for playwriting, the NEA/TCG Residency grant at the Mark Taper Forum and a Brooks Atkinson Fellowship at the Royal National Theatre in London. Her works have been produced at La Jolla Playhouse, Seattle Rep, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Woolly Mammoth and others.
