New Jersey's own state opera company, the New Jersey State Opera proudly announces its first annual Holiday program, "An Operatic Christmas Card," an inspiring and hear-warming collection of beautiful arias and seasonal music. The performance will take place on Sunday, December 9th at 3:00 p.m. at the Aprea Theater, 199 Scoles Avenue, Clifton, New Jersey.

Under the leadership of Artistic Director, Jason C. Tramm, the New Jersey State Opera continues to bring to northern New Jersey the highest quality operatic performers. This year's holiday program features soprano soloist, Christina Major, who has been hailed by Opera News as being a "sensitive actress" who "brought about the highest emotional stakes" of the evening's performance. Bass-Baritone soloist, Jeremy Galyon, performs with the San Francisco Opera as well as the Metropolitan Opera in roles such as Count Horn in "A Masked Ball" and Count Ceprano in "Rigoletto" and is noted for his robust and charismatic performances. Also featured is tenor William Davenport who rendered a striking performance of Verdi's "Requiem" this past summer with NJ State Opera in Ocean Grove. Mr. Davenport's voice has been described as having "an immediately expressive and appealing quality in the timbre." Rounding out the group of soloists is Veronica Iovan, a young lyric soprano who has already distinguished herself as an artist and performer of rare talent and magnetism, performing recitals, operas, and concerts in the U.S., France, Norway, England, Spain, and Italy.
