The Grammy winner from Minnesota counts more than 17 million listeners among his fans and has performed in concert halls and with orchestras throughout the country (with Philip Brunelle) as a member of The Hopeful Gospel Quartet and on tour broadcasts of A Prairie Home Companion. Keillor's most recent role included playing himself in the 2006 movie adaptation of A Prairie Home Companion, featuring Meryl Streep, Lily Tomlin and Tommy Lee Jones.

Among his numerous honors are two Cable ACE awards, a George Foster Peabody Award and the National Humanities Medal of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
