Eagle Theatre, South Jersey's only year-round professional Equity theatre, has recently founded the 1st Official New Jersey Fringe Festival, set to take place in Downtown Hammonton on August 5th - August 7th. The festival will feature 15 eclectic performances, all within walking distance of the festival's hub and box office, Eagle Theatre.

Ted Wioncek III, Eagle Theatre's Co-Artistic Director, claims "A Fringe Festival is 'binge watching for Live Theatre lovers.' We aim to encapsulate everything you could possibly theatrically desire and roll it into a one weekend celebration... a Woodstock for the art scene."

Performances range from 25 - 75 minutes and are performed multiple times throughout the day. Festivalgoers can purchase wristbands in advance or day of the festival. Saturday Passes, Friday & Sunday Passes, and All Weekend Access passes are available.

Ed Corsi, Eagle Theatre Co-Artistic Director added "We are hosting the hottest acts in the tristate area. Selections range from small musicals, to cutting edge original work, one-man/one-woman shows, puppetry, even a live cinematic 3D satire. There is just no limit to what Jersey Fringe will provide."

In addition, an outdoor festival atmosphere filled with street performers, musicians, interactive art experiences, food vendors and a craft beer and wine garden will line the streets. Access to the festival area is free and open to the public.

Jim Donio, Eagle Theatre's Managing Director stated "It's time. New Jersey is ready for a Fringe Festival and Hammonton is just the spot. Whether it's our award-winning Downtown, art district, craft beer industry, wineries, or Eagle Theatre, all these pieces work together to make Hammonton a destination. With the town's incredible resurgence, we are now the place where everyone wants to meet up and gather."

The New Jersey Fringe Festival is produced by Eagle Theatre and sponsored by 1 Trick Pony, Stockton University - Kramer Hall, The Noyes Museum of Art, Spellcaster Productions, The mART, GrandAire Booking and Kramer Beverage.
