The Eagle Theatre opens Jonathan Larson's tick, tick... BOOM! on March 20. Larson's endearing autobiographical journey grapples with the unrelenting passion to succeed before the clock runs out.

Set in 1990, this compelling story of personal discovery is the autobiographical tale of Jonathan Larson (RENT), on the brink of turning 30 and falling into oblivion. His girlfriend wants to get married and move out of the city, his best friend is making big bucks on Madison Avenue, yet Jon is still waiting tables and trying to write the great American musical. This youthful and endearing piece embraces the universal ideal of holding onto your dreams through life's most difficult challenges.

Co-Artistic Director Ed Corsi describes Larson's music as "...incredibly cathartic with the innate ability to capture both memory and discovery all within a single breath. It is no wonder why his original one-man, pop-rock monologue tick, tick...BOOM was fashioned into a three-person bio-piece following his untimely death. While tick, tick...BOOM may be classified as Larson's "lesser known" work, many feel it is superior to his Tony Award Winning blockbuster, RENT. Wade your way through a brilliant score full of varying emotions, and you will find, at the root, sits a simple yet relatable story; a person with a dream."

The Eagle Theatre has also recently installed elevated riser seating to provide prime viewing and a greater theatrical experience.

Eagle Theatre boasts a free double parking lot, an on-site Wine Lounge and is located within walking distance of several award-winning boutiques and acclaimed dining destinations.
