The New Jersey Symphony will present two epic films in concert with the score played live by the orchestra this summer, as well as concerts in the parks, a concert featuring emerging composers and a free preview concert of the upcoming 2024–25 season.
Violinist Timothy Shi has won the New Jersey Symphony Youth Orchestra's 2022 Henry Lewis Concerto Competition. Shi will join the New Jersey Symphony to perform the first movement of Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 3 in G Major, K. 216, at the Symphony's outdoor summer concerts, June 24–July 2 in venues across the state.
The New Jersey Symphony presents free outdoor concerts in Newark, Toms River and Metuchen and returns to the Giralda Music and Arts Festival in Madison. The family-friendly program features a tribute to Sondheim, Sousa's ode to his time in New Jersey in “The Atlantic City Pageant,” Rossini's Overture to The Barber of Seville, Florence Price's “Juba Dance” and more.
The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra has announced a series of outdoor concerts featuring music from composers across the Americas, with José Luis Domínguez at the podium. The Orchestra performs free concerts at Ocean County College in Toms River and Branch Brook Park in Newark and it returns to the Giralda Music and Arts Festival in Madison.
The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra performs free concerts in five New Jersey parks in June, featuring a family-friendly program of diverse music from across the Americas. The NJSO performs free concerts at Echo Lake Park in Mountainside, Maxwell Place Park in Hoboken, Ocean County College in Toms River, Branch Brook Park in Newark and Marine Park in Red Bank.
