Centenary Stage Company Receives Grant from Sandra S. Kupperman Foundation

The Centenary Stage Company, a not-for-profit professional equity theatre in residence on the campus of Centenary College, has received a generous grant of $5,000 from the Sandra S. Kupperman Foundation.

Dedicated to providing support for various organizations, the Sandra S. Kupperman Foundation was created to support a wide array of causes in honor of the late Sandra S. Kupperman. The foundation supports issues related to cancer, poverty, Theatre arts, and causes which address and seek to improve the human condition. The Centenary Stage Company is one of the first Theatre Arts organizations to receive a grant from the Sandra S. Kupperman Foundation. Tim Smith, treasurer of the foundation, stated, "What CSC does is tremendous here in North Jersey."

As a not-for-profit professional theatre, the Centenary Stage Company relies on the contributions of its patrons, donors and sponsors to provide artistic, educational and entertainment programs to the Skylands Region and greater Tri-State Area. "We're delighted to have the Sandra S. Kupperman Foundation join the ranks of our distinguished sponsors. It is with their generous contribution and the support of other similar organizations that CSC is able to help strengthen the arts community of Northern New Jersey." said CSC Artistic Director, Carl Wallnau.

CSC offers a wide array of artistic and educational programs throughout a yearlong season. Events include the production of several professional equity theatre productions, which bring in professional talent from NYC and the region. The popular CSC Young Audience Series, which tours throughout the state with curriculum inspired performances, introduces many youngsters to their first theatrical experience. CSC also offers a variety of concerts, jazz fests and summer concerts, providing audiences with a rich and diverse program of events. In addition to all of the events scheduled throughout the year, CSC also offers a variety of educational programs, serving students ranging from youth to adult, with programs such as the TYRO ("beginner") theatre camp, to the critically acclaimed Young Performers Musical Theatre Workshop, to adult workshops and master-classes with guest artists.
