Seacoast Repertory Theatre is pleased to announce that it has been awarded two equal grants, totaling $10,000, from the the Thoresen and Werner Families Fund and the Geoffrey E. Clark and Martha Fuller Clark Fund of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation.

"They both came in the mail at the same time," said Executive Director Kathleen Cavalaro. "I don't think any of us stopped smiling all day. We can't thank these families enough."

The funds from the Thoresen and Werner Families Fund will will be used towards the production of two of this years Mainstage shows, The Marvelous Wonderettes and Laughter on the 23rd Floor, and the Geoffrey E. Clark and Martha Fuller Clark Fund grant will be used for general expenses.

With the awarding of these funds, Seacoast Repertory Theatre has already surpassed grant award amounts for their 2015 fiscal year, and Cavalaro sees them as signs of more to come.

"The community was overwhelmingly generous, but I think Seacoast Rep was 'wait and see' for a lot of donors last year as we extracted ourselves from crisis," says Cavalaro. "Now that we've shown a little resilience, and we've demonstrated our quality on a lot of different fronts, I think people are more apt to give us a chance."

Cavalaro also credits Seacoast Rep's development staff and board for their aggressive fundraising efforts.
