Dorks in Dungeons Sets Second Tavern Quest: PARCEL CON for 4/19
Dorks in Dungeons, the award-winning fantasy comedy improve troupe has announced their second Tavern Quest. Tavern Quest is a live action roleplaying event in the vein of the Dorks in Dungeons stage show, only this time guests are encouraged to come in-character and participate in the adventure. The Dorks will be taking over The Stone Church in Newmarket and once again turning it into The Gaye Bugbear, the iconic, multidimensional tavern from their live comedy show. Guests will be pitted against each other in various competitions, with the winner being forever enshrined in the Dorks in Dungeons mythology.
This is the second installment of Tavern Quest. In this adventure, Parcel Con guests will assume the role of recruits in the Special Parcel Service, Dorks in Dungeons' fantastical mail delivery service. The competition is designed to see who has what it takes to deliver the mail in a world rife with danger and bureaucratic incompetence. Dorks in Dungeons performers will be playing roles from their stage show, and some will also be competing. Only one guest will emerge the victor.
"We did a LARP (live action role play) last year and we thought it was a whole lot of fun. It's great to do something different once in a while" says Jess Miller, one of the organizers of the event. "We have rules and games, but really it's a bunch of people trying to make each other laugh."
Admission to the event is $10. Rules will be explained once guests arrive. Costumes and characters are encouraged, but not required. This is an all-ages event. For more information, visit www.dorksindungeons.com or purchase tickets at www.stonechurchrocks.com.
