Tickets for the final six Target Play Dates of the 2008-09 season will go on sale Wednesday, January 7 through the Guthrie Box Office. Presented in partnership with Target, this wildly popular event lets kids take part in an afternoon of classes taught by Guthrie teaching artists, while the rest of the family gets $15 reduced-price tickets to that afternoon's matinee performance. Target Play Date tickets are only available in-person or by phone at 612.377.2224, toll-free 877.44.STAGE.

In addition to a day of arts-centered fun and learning, snacks and goodie bags from Target and the Guthrie are provided to each workshop participant. It's the perfect way to escape reality for the afternoon and share the experience of live theater with the whole family.

2008-09 Target Play Dates on sale Wednesday, January 7:

* Saturday, February 7 at 1 p.m. - The Two Gentlemen of Verona
* Saturday, February 28 at 1 p.m. - A Delicate Balance
* Wednesday, March 25 at 1 p.m. - The Two Gentlemen of Verona
* Saturday, May 2 at 1 p.m. - Caroline, or Change
* Saturday, June 13 at 1 p.m. - Caroline, or Change
* Saturday, July 18 at 1 p.m. - When We Are Married
