The Eclectic Company Theatre presents the world premiere of "The Civil War Remembered", a new play written and directed by Maureen Lucy O'Connell opening September 9th at The Eclectic Company Theatre at 5312 Laurel Canyon Blvd., Valley Village, CA 91607. The show runs Fridays and Saturdays at 8PM, and Sundays at 2PM from September 9th through October 16th.

This theatrical experience is a retelling of selected key events and lesser known stories of everyday heroes from The Civil War. Mary Todd Lincoln shares her memories of the time period with us as shadows of the past appear to tell their own stories from this critically important chapter of our Nation's history. It is a mixture of true events and apocryphal stories using actual transcripts of speeches from this time period and articles about The Civil War. Music from the era is interspersed throughout the show. Suitable for ages 12 and above.

Maureen Lucy O'Connell directed "Spoon River: The Cemetery On The Hill" which premiered at The Eclectic Company Theatre in February, 2015. She also wrote and directed "Mine Eyes Have Seen The Glory" which premiered at The Pioneer Cemetery in Sylmar in May, 2015.

Tickets are $20. For ticket information, email spooniad2014@gmail.com or visit The Eclectic Company Theatre website at www.eclecticcompanytheatre.org.
