Winning upwards of 50 awards (including Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle, LA Weekly, Ovation, and Garland Awards) in just the past five years (BEST PRODUCTION two years in a row), Rogue Machine's first offering (which opened on May 18th) for the 2013 season has sold out the original run. They will now be extending the schedule for the Los Angeles premiere of Dying Cityby Christopher Shinn (OBIE winner, Pulitzer Prize finalist) through August 5th.

A psychological showdown of wits when, unannounced, Peter shows up at his sister-in-law's apartment. Having not spoken since the funeral of her husband, Peter's twin brother, the two now face-off as more questions surrounding the suspicious death resurface through flashbacks and old letters. A transfixing and intimate play from a Pulitzer Prize finalist.

Christopher Shinn (Playwright) won an OBIE Award for Playwriting and a Guggenheim Fellowship in Playwriting. He was a Pulitzer Prize finalist, shortlisted for the Evening Standard Theatre Award for Best Play, nominated for an Olivier Award for Most Promising Playwright, won the Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Play and was the recipient of a Robert Chesley Award for Lesbian and Gay Playwriting, among numerous other awards. Shinn's plays have premiered at The Royal Court Theatre, Lincoln Center, Manhattan Theatre Club, Playwrights Horizons, and South Coast Repertory. His adaptation ofHedda Gabler for the Roundabout (American Airlines Theatre) premiered on Broadway in 2009.

MICHAEL PERETZIAN (Director) has helmed numerous productions including the Mark Taper West Coast premiere of Jane Martin's Talking With and Truman Capote's One Christmas and A Christmas Memory staged reading, broadcast for many years on KCRW and subsequently re-staged at Pacific Resident Theatre. For his work with Theatre 40 Hugh Leonard's A Life, Michael received a Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Direction. He directed the world premiere of Alex Dinelaris' Red Dog Howls starring Kathleen Chalfant, his production of Harold Pinter's No Man's Land at the Odyssey Ensemble was nominated as one of the Best Productions of 2009 by the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle.
