Two hilarious comedy shows, Fancy! A Southern Gothic Camp Parable and The Teddy Teddy Show premiere together at the Cavern Club Celebrity Theater for two performances only tonight, July 10th and July 17th at 8 p.m.

“Chris Farah and Pete Zias, both up-and-coming gifted camp comedians, reinvigorate the genre as two “ladies of the night” share their truth as they see it,” said Producer and Sound Designer Efrain Schunior.

Starring actress and comedienne Chris Farah, Fancy! A Southern Gothic Camp Parable is the timeless story of a poor country girl turned infamous prostitute on a quest to find her own identity while overcoming the discrimination of religious ring-wing conservatives. Based on the Bobbie Gentry song “Fancy”, and made famous by Reba MacEntire, Fancy! is directed by Kurt Koehler, co-writer and creator of the Charlie’s Angels parody Chico’s Angels.

In The Teddy Teddy Show, comic and performance artist Pete Zias brings his live cable-access show to the Cavern Club as legendary New York City 90’s club kid Teddy Teddy with special guests. Teddy is directed by Julie Brister, teacher and performer at Upright Citizen’s Brigade.

About Chris Farah: Farah, a regular performer at Upright Citizen’s Brigade, earned her bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts from Loyola Marymount University. Recent credits include: The Quick and Funny Musicals at Uprights Citizen’s Brigade, Cornerstone Theater Company’s production of Making Paradise: The West Hollywood Musical and the improv telenovela Stallions De Amor alongside Pete Zias and Drew Droege, which is currently in production for its second season.

About Pete Zias: Zias studied improv at the famed Groundlings theater and the Upright Citizens Brigade. After earning his degree in Theater from Marymount Manhattan College, Zias wrote and performed two one-person shows Books, Blood and Chat Rooms as well as Self Help Me.
