CABIV Productions will present VIVIEN, by Percy Granger. Considered a drama with humor and grace that reaches zenith proportions between father and son. Directed by Tracey Silver, the show opens tonight, May 3rd at Acting Artists Theatre in Hollywood, CA, This powerful One-act production features Ilia Volok, last years winner of the 2013 LA Weekly Theater Award = Best Solo Performance Category for "Diary Of A Madman"

VIVIEN was originally produced in 1981, when it was selected by Edward Albee as part of an evening of one-acts to be performed at Lincoln Center.

VIVIEN is the powerful story of a father and son reunited after almost four decades. Paul, a theatre director, has come to a psychiatric nursing home to visit his father, Vivien, whom he has not seen in a very long time. Vivien does not recognize Paul and at first refuses have anything to do with him. Paul presses and Vivien at last agrees to go with him for the day. As the day passes, it seems that Vivien does realize that Paul is his son, although he does not specifically say it, and they talk about family matters.

Resentment and regret make way for an odyssey of discovery. Exploring the tenuous ties that bind a family together, playwright Percy Granger weaves a tale of humor and grace, uncovering the hearts of two men, the choices each has made, a long overdue understanding and ultimately, the enormity of what each has lost.

Featuring a stellar cast of Craig Braun (Vivien), Ilia Volok (Paul), and Tracey Silver (Nurse Tendesco). Tracey Silver will also be directing this production.

General admission is $15.00 Adults and $10.00 Students and Seniors (with ID). Running time is 60 minutes. Tickets are available at: www.plays411.com/vivien.
