It's been fun hearing the audience whoop in recognition in the 'undressing scene' and watching them boogie out of the theatre after the final scene. It's been an honor and a privilege to have Josefina López's great script and these terrific artists gracing our stage." The Los Angeles Times said of REAL WOMEN HAVE CURVES, "Josefina López's crowd-pleasing play is a Cinderella story with a touchingly pure faith in the power of a makeover" and Pasadena Star News called the production "Funny and powerful." Broadway World raved "Screamingly Hilarious!" and Theatermania called López's play "Passionate and celebratory." Set in a tiny sewing factory in East L.A., this award-winning comedy from acclaimed playwright Josefina López tells the story of five full-figured women racing to meet an impossible deadline to keep their sewing factory from going under.
