Solo artist Jim Loucks brings his dramatic one-man show to the Hollywood Fringe Festival June 8-23 at the Artworks Theatre in Hollywood. Cemetery Golf is directed by Carol Rusoff. Cemetery Golf opens on June 16th, with press previews on June 8th and 9th at 8pm.

Loucks has had successful runs at the United Solo Theatre Festival in New York, SoloFest in Albuquerque, the Oahu Fringe, Boulder Fringe and Cincy Fringe, where he received a CityBeat critic’s pick. Cemetery Golf was also produced at the Drilling Company in New York, Electric Lodge in Los Angeles, and the Hudson Opera House in Hudson, NY.

This live-wire solo performance centers on the lives of a hellfire-and-brimstone Southern Baptist preacher and his family. As the preacher’s son questions his father’s teachings, Loucks uses witty and insightful storytelling to bring humanity to both sides of the fundamentalist debate. Cemetery Golf is based loosely on Loucks’ own childhood in small-town Georgia.
