CRAZY FOR YOU! It is all singin', all dancin' Gershwin!
CRAZY FOR YOU is the story of Bobby Child, a well-to-do 1930's playboy, whose dream in life is to dance. Bobby is sent to a small, poor town in Nevada to close down the local theater. Soon Bobby falls in love with the theater owner's daughter, Polly. In order to save the theatre, he dreams up the idea to put on a show to raise money for the theatre. In the end, the town is reinvigorated, the theatre is saved and Bobby finds love. Memorable Gershwin tunes include I Can't Be Bothered Now, Bidin' My Time, I Got Rhythm, Naughty Baby, They Can't Take That Away from Me, But Not for Me, Nice Work if You Can Get It, Embraceable You, and Someone to Watch Over Me. It's a high energy comedy that includes lots of crazy characters, showgirls, tap dancing, mistaken identity, plot twists, fabulous dance numbers and classic Gershwin music.
