Cast Set For WideStance Productions' Fairies With Children, Opens 10/22

WideStance Productions announces an exciting cast for its latest endeavor "Fairies With Children (The Yes on Hate Episode)" . After holding auditions for nearly two months, and seeing hundreds of Los Angeles actors, we believe we have found the perfect cast.

According to John Trapper, writer/producer who cast the show, the first person cast was Donna Pieroni, one of the original "Fat Women" on Married With Children. "After working with Donna before and then seeing her portray Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd, I had to give write her a vehicle that showed off her talents". Theatre goers will see Donna play all of the Conservative sentiment in the show while at the same time channeling a little Tracy Turnblatt. Pieroni has also worked consistently over the years on stage and in feature films and television, most recently in shows like "Dexter" and "Weeds".

WideStance, known for it's ability to bring sitcom starts to life via drag needed to search long and hard for men who could pull off Peggy Bundy and Marcy Darcy. Ultimately those decisions came down to two very talented men: Guy Windsor, who will play a gay man disguised as Peggy Bundy to infiltrate the conservative population of Pomona, and Dexter de Sah who one ups him with his own version of Marcy Darcy combined with a little Audrey from "Little Shop of Horrors" . Guy has been in numerous feature films and played some of the great desired Theatre roles such as Rooster in "Annie" and The Tin Man in "Wizard of Oz". Dexter has performed on both stage and screen and is involved in a very exciting television project that will soon be announced.

The standard for Al Bundy has been set pretty high by the master Ed O'Neill, but our own Marco Tazioli is sure to please audiences with his consistent "miserable look". For the fist severAl Weeks of rehearsal, Director Sean Riley wondered if Marco was having any fun. When we reviewed his resume, we remembered that this Chicago native with credits such as the Company of Angels, and LA Opera, and Upright Cabaret was probably acting, and it turned out he was.

We also found the perfect person to spoof both a very famous Politician and the sexy Jefferson Darcy. Eric Adams has the perfect ability to deliver the hypocritical lines written in honor of a very hypocritical closeted gay Politician and then shift to the smooth and silly sitcom stylings of Ted McGinley with his perfectly highlighted hair.

Rounding off this perfect cast of seven are the WideStance version of Bud and Kelly, who in the story arrive to the Pomona home in a roundabout way. Charles Romaine plays a Lieutenant discharged under the Military's Don't Ask Don't Tell Policy who with all his new found available time cruises the gay social network Adam 4 Adam where he finds Peggy (actually Peter) and stops over for a quickie. When he learns about this unusual form of activism, he joins in as Bug. Charles is an extremely accomplished Actor/Singer and toured with the Kinsey Sicks. He is also a regular performer in "Village Variety Pack", which benefits the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center.

Erin Muir amazed the Producers when she opened her mouth and sang in her beautiful baritone voice. This combined with her striking resemblance and comedic delivery of Christina's Applegate's portrayal of Kelly Bundy made her a shoe in for the role. She was named Best Female Artist of 2009 by Rockwired Magazine and has done numerous tv and film gigs. Her first, full-length album, Poet's Lovely Daughter has just been released to rave reviews.

Although the cast already resembles the folks they are spoofing, they'll be receiving various enhancements via Costume Designer Vincent Lapeer (Vinny Lapper). Vincent has worked with some of the greats in television, film and stage. He's dressed everyone form Tyra Banks to Naomi Campbell and was awarded an emmy for his work on "Frasier" starring Kelsey Grammer

Keeping this remarkable cast on task and surely having a great deal of fun along the way is Director Sean Riley. Sean sends the majority of his time leading young actors to success as a regular instructor at the Anthony Meindl's Meta Theatre. He has been on both sides of the house in pretty much all the musicals (from Showboat to Guys and Dolls) and toured Internationally with the BYU Dancers' Company.

Fairies With Children (the Yes on Hate Episode), written by John Patrick Trapper opens October 22nd for a seven week run on Friday and Saturday nights only at 8pm. One dollar from every full priced ticket will go directly to fight for Equality. The show is at the Meta Theatre adjacent to West Hollywood near the intersection of Melrose and Fairfax.
