The East End of Long Island's own singer-songwriter, Rufus Wainwright, who released a "Best Of" compilation earlier this year titled Vibrate, will perform his most popular hits in a solo show at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center on Friday, June 20 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $60, $100, $140 and are available online at www.whbpac.org.

Affectionately referred to by Elton John as "the greatest songwriter on the planet," this brilliantly talented singer-songwriter has achieved his success by carving out his own singular sound in the worlds of rock, opera, theater, dance and film. The New York-born, Montreal-raised artist has released several successful albums, including the fantastic Grammy nominated Rufus Does Judy at Carnegie Hall, which captured his celebrated Judy Garland tribute performance at the London Palladium in 2007, and the album Release The Stars which went Gold in Canada and the U.K.

Rufus's new greatest hits album, Vibrate, features standout songs that define one of modern music's most innovative talents, as well as a brand new recording with Guy Chambers called "Me and Liza." The album pays homage to his impressive back catalogue since his self-title debut in 1998 featuring all of his best known tracks including his "Hallelujah" cover version, "The Art Teacher", "Going to Town" and "Cigarettes and Chocolate Milk."
