Bay Street Theatre will bring comedian Robert Klein on August 13 at 8pm to kick off the Comedy Club for the month of August.

For more than forty years, Grammy and Tony Award nominee Robert Klein has entertained audiences, and he continues to have an acclaimed career in comedy, on Broadway, on television, and in film. He was nominated twice for a Grammy Award for “Best Comedy Album of the Year” for his albums “Child of the Fifties” and “Mind over Matter”. Klein received a Tony Award nomination for Best Actor for his performance in the hit Neil Simon musical, THEY’RE PLAYING OUR SONG. Other Broadway includes THE SISTERS ROSENSWEIG.

On television he’s had dozens of guest-starring roles on “Sisters” and “Law and Order”, and he regularly appears on talk shows, making more than 100 appearances on “The Tonight Show” and “The Late Show with David Letterman” alone. Klein has also appeared in many notable films including, Two Weeks Notice, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, and The Back-Up Plan.

The Comedy Club continues on August 27 with comedian Jim Breuer. (Susie Essman has already sold out.)Tickets for Comedy Club are $60 for members and $67 nonmembers*.
