Scenic Designer & Master Carpenter for Ignite Theatre Company - Ignite Theatre Company

Ignite is urgently hiring an experienced professional to participate in our production of DISNEY'S HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL ; set to perform at Bayless High School May 4-8, 2022. Load-in and set build starts April 24, 2022, Tech week is April 25- 30th.

Ignite prioritizes applicants who can confidently demonstrate an understanding of scenic design, and are able to ensure the timely execution of that scenic design. Applicants with a dependable knowledge of carpentry would be highly prioritized. Ignite would prefer to speak with applicants who can provide their own power tools.

This position is filled from production-to-production; with time commitments flexible depending on contractor commitment. Preferred candidates can be available for recurring production meetings throughout the rehearsal process, load-in, all tech-week rehearsals, as well as performances & strike.

Pre-Requisites:

A dependable vehicle or other mode of transport

Ability to lift up-to-50lbs

Willingness to coordinate with Ignite vendors/contractors

Dependable understanding of scenic design and an ability to communicate design elements in a visual way

Dependable understanding of carpentry

Ability to coordinate with Ignite's Staff & identify performance/equipment needs

Ability to work with children of all ages and their families.

Must pass a background check.
