Seventy talented 8–18 year old performers from all over the Indianapolis area accompanied by a live orchestra will be performing the student edition of the internationally acclaimed musical Les Miserables with the Agape Performing Arts Company at McGowan Hall from April 6 through April 9. Winner of over 100 international awards and seen by over 65 million people worldwide, Les Misérables is an epic and uplifting story about the survival of the human spirit. Now adapted for high school performers, Les Misérables School Edition features one of the most memorable scores of all time and some of the most memorable characters to ever grace the stage. Agape Performing Arts is partnering with the historic McGowan Hall in the Old Northside neighborhood in Indianapolis promoting arts and building community relationships.
AGES 6-9 Although the show is over three hours long, children in this age group who have seen it enjoyed the spectacle. They are particularly interested in the character of the little orphan girl, Cosette.
AGES 10+ Excellent choice. The musical is thought-provoking and moving and brings out issues of forgiveness, courage, and social responsibility.
