THE JUNGLE BOOK Exceeds Sales Goals, Play Bound for Miller Outdoor Theatre

The World Premiere of The Jungle Book at A. D. Players' Children's Theater, exceeded sales goals, closing on May 4th with over 90% of seats sold. The theater added three shows to the three week run to meet demand, with most shows selling out. The play was written by Will Ledesma and adapted from the classic adventure book by Rudyard Kipling.

The World Premiere production received praise from audience members and from David Clarke of BroadwayWorld.com. He called the play "beautiful and empowering," praising the production for being "fun for both adults and children to enjoy...a wonderful theatrical event."

Next, A. D. Players' Children's Theater will remount The Jungle Book at Miller Outdoor Theatre,May 30th and 31st at 11:00am.


In The Jungle Book, Mowgli has been raised and protected by the Seeonee wolf pack his entire life, but his mortal enemy, the vicious tiger Shere Khan, has a plan to scatter the pack. It will take all the wisdom Mowgli has learned from his friends Baloo the bear and Bagheera the panther to survive the tiger's vengeful scheme. This thrilling adventure story includes themes of growing up and the strength of true friendship.

Performances at Miller Outdoor Theatre are free. Showtimes are Thursday, May 30th at 11:00amand Friday, May 31st at 11:00am


SEATING
There is NO assigned seating for children's theatre shows. These performances are always on first-come first-served basis. Hillside seating is not reserved. Blankets and lawn chairs are welcome. Please note that lawn chairs must be placed on the left side of the hill. Sit on the right side of the hill on your picnic blanket.
