Junie B. Jones comes to life in the hilarious production of "Junie B. Jones in Jingle Bells, Batman Smells" at The Grand 1894 Opera House today, December 11 at 10am. Touted by the New York Times as a bestselling chapter book series, Junie B. Jones is a classroom favorite. Suitable for children ages 5 and up, she is the world's funniest first grader!

Ho, ho...uh-oh! It's holiday time and Junie B. Jones' class is doing a lot of fun things to celebrate. Making elf costumes, singing joyful songs and all is delightful until the class tattletale-May- ruins the holiday glee! How can the festivities be enjoyed when Junie picks her secret Santa name and gets stuck with you-know-who! May! It is enough to fizzle the holiday spirit until Junie figures this is the perfect opportunity to give May what she deserves.

Young fans continue to delight in Junie B. Jones unique take on the world keeping them reading and laughing for over 20 years. Will Junie B. Jones give May a lump of coal, or will she show her true holiday spirit? This entertaining show has laughs to spare and is a refreshing new story for the season.

The children's series performances have been designated The Harris L. Kempner Children's Series in honor of Mr. Kempner's lifelong commitment to youth, education and The Grand's programming. They are supported in part by donations to the Grand's Permanent Fund in his memory. Tickets are $10 adult, $6 child and school groups are $5 per person with advance reservations.
