Dramma per musica in three Akten.Dichtung of Giovanni De Gamerra. The Roman dictator Lucius Cornelius Sulla is the model for the title character of Mozart's opera Lucio Silla youth who composed by the sixteen in 1772 for Milan. The historical Sulla was known for his cruelty and put his tyranny down surprisingly to retire into private life. This sudden renunciation made his figure of interest for the opera seria genre with her typical feature of the final Gnadenakts a convert to the nobleness ruler on the policy objectives of enlightened absolutism were projected. The Libretto Giovanni de Gamerras distinguished by an exceptional accumulation of too generic typical Gruft- and Ombra-scenes in which the world of the dead is called.
