The beautiful and somewhat spoiled general daughter came back from the honeymoon. She had married culture historian Jörgen Tesman because she thought that his promosing career prospects would have secure lavish lifestyle. The charismatic Eilert Lövborg, the old ex-fiance of Hedda came to the city and competed with Jörgen Tesman for the nomination to professor. Hedda could not stand this situation any longer. Obsessed with the desire for control over other person's faith, she stole Lövborg's manuscript and intended to destroy it. She raged and manipulated as long as there was no way out for her...
