Whether you call yourself Parisian or you're just visiting the City of Love, Broadway au Carré is the new hot ticket in Paris to get your American musical theatre fix, along with a good glass of red wine.

Once a month, you can kick off your Wednesday evening at Le Carré Parisien, a typical Parisian café and cave-à-vins, with a cabaret concert by a featured performer, followed by an open mic, where some of the best local artists gather to belt out their favorite Broadway show tunes. Broadway au Carré also features a new musical theatre composer each month, with a set of songs that have never been performed in Europe before. "Our American Composers, European Premieres set," says Lisandro Nesis, Broadway au Carré's artistic director and open mic host, "is the result of a new artistic exchange program we've put together to strengthen the bonds between American composers and French-based musical theatre performers. This new initiative has gathered a lot of support from the musical theatre communities on both sides of the Atlantic and we have a fantastic line-up of American composers that we're really excited about working with this season, including Will Van Dyke, Daniel Maté, Niko Tsakalakos, Andrew Byrne and Peter Saxe, among others."

April 2nd is the date to remember if you want to come to Broadway au Carré's next show. This month our theme will be all contemporary musical theatre, starting with a concert performed by rising French singer Adam Benghiat (Edges - Paris, Hercules) & some special guests, including Léovanie Raud (La Belle et la Bête - Paris). The featured composer of the month will be Andrew Byrne and the set will include his tune "A contemporary musical theatre song", soon to be featured in the film "Waiting in the Wings". The open mic will be co-hosted by Lisandro Nesis and Miranda Crispin, with John Florencio on the piano.

Broadway au Carré takes place once a month on Wednesday evenings at Le Carré Parisien located at 1, rue du Général Beuret, 75015 Paris, France. Doors open at 7 pm, showtime is at 7:30 pm followed by an Open Mic and the American Composers, and the European Premieres set is at 9 pm. An 8€ cover charge includes a drink.
