The 2017 ArtsEd Forever application deadline has been extended to Friday, February 24. Broward County public, private and charter school principals and teachers are invited to nominate arts teachers in four categories: dance, music, theater and visual arts.

For 30 years, the Arts Teacher of the Year program, in partnership with the School Board of Broward County, has showcased the artistic excellence of students and faculty.

One teacher will be awarded in each category and will receive $3,000 cash and a $500 cash contribution to their art program. All finalists receive a $500 cash award. Visit the Broward Cultural Division website for guidelines and online application.

Winners will be announced at an event celebrating excellence in arts education on April 26, at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. Performances and visual art showcases from Broward's best arts students will add to the evening's festivities. Please RSVP here for the event online.

For further information, contact Grace Kewl-Durfey, Broward Cultural Division at 954-357-7869.
