Joey (Barn Theatre newcomer Joseph Anthony Byrd) has the voice of an angel, easy good looks, and a dangerous dream – to headline in his own nightclub. Joey intrigues virtually everyone he meets, but has some colossal character flaws to go with all those smooth moves.

Joey is willing to do whatever it takes to headline at his own club, including seducing an older married socialite (4-time Emmy winner for Guiding Light, Barn Favorite, Kim Zimmer). But outside of these premeditated trysts, Joey finds himself inexplicably drawn to "good girl" Linda (Barn Theatre newcomer Annette Moore). Also featured are Barn Favorites Kevin Robert White as Ted, Eric Parker as Mike, a trio of sassy showgirls (Emily Fleming, 2nd Year Apprentice Amy Harpenau, and 1st Year Apprentice Julie Grisham), as well as many others in the Barn resident company.

This new incarnation explodes with song and dance while exploring the bounds of morality and the timely relationship between power and sex. Tony Award-winner and Barnie Peter Schneider (former President of Disney Animation, Broadway producer of The Lion King) guest directs this new production. Barnie Michael Reno is Musical Supervisor, orchestrator and arranger. Book is by Patrick Pacheco. Mr. Schneider has secured the estate's permission to enhance the score with other songs from the Rodgers and Hart catalogue. Classics such as "The Lady Is A Tramp", "Sing for Your Supper" and "Glad To Be Unhappy" are now intermingled with gems from the original show like "Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered," "I Could Write a Book" and "What is a Man?" This treasured musical first debuted in 1940 and starred a young Gene Kelly as Joey. With revivals nearly every decade, the most recent revival was in 2008. The 1957 movie starring Frank Sinatra, Rita Hayworth and Kim Novak, was considered by some critics as the ultimate Sinatra vehicle.
