DM Playhouse Holds Auditions for Stuart Little 12/18

Auditions for "Stuart Little," based on the book by E.B. White, will be held at the Des Moines Community Playhouse at 6:00 PM on Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011. All auditions are open to the public; no one is pre-cast.

"Stuart Little" contains roles for 3 men and 3 women, ages 16+; and 4-6 boys, and 4-6 girls, ages 8-15. Performances are Feb. 17-Mar. 4, 2012, with school matiness Feb. 21-22. "Stuart Little" is directed by Kathy Pingel.

Stuart Little is a mouse born into a family of humans. Shy and thoughtful, Stuart is also a lover of adventure. When his friend, the bird Margalo, disappears, this heroic mouse travels in search of her.

The Playhouse is Iowa's oldest and largest producing theatre. Located at the 42nd Street exit of I-235, the theatre has presented a full season of shows since 1919 and also offers a wide variety of educational experiences including classes for ages 4 to adult, theatre trips to New York, and volunteer opportunities onstage and backstage.
