On Tuesday, July 1st, Playhouse on Park will hold a master class called Acting a Song from 7 pm to 9 pm. The goal of this class will be to guide students to improve their performance of a musical theatre song. Students should bring a few musical theatre songs, and be prepared to perform one at the workshop. The instructor will critique each student on their theatrical presentation of their song, and teach them how to take their performance to the next level.

The guest instructor for this class will be Janelle Robinson. Ms. Robinson has performed on Broadway as the original Mrs. Corry in Mary Poppins, as well as Oklahoma! and the revival of Show Boat. Her numerous regional credits include Papermill Playhouse, North Shore Music Theatre, and Maine State Music Theatre. This past season, she made her Playhouse on Park debut as Mrs. Higgins in the world premiere of Higgins in Harlem.

This class is for students ages 16 through adult. A $40 registration is required; class size is limited to 10 students and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. To register, please go to the Education page at www.playhouseonpark.org, or call the box office at 860-523-5900 x10.
