Arnold Lobel's famous amphibians hop from the page to the stage in A Year With Frog and Toad, which will conclude the 2014 Young Audiences Series at Playhouse on Park. In this shortened version of the tony-nominated musical by Willie and Robert Reale, the story follows the two friends-the very cheerful Frog and the rather grumpy Toad-in their adventures through the four seasons.

From the minute they wake up from their hibernation, Frog and Toad enjoy the changing year by planting gardens, swimming, raking leaves, and sledding. The two best friends learn life lessons and celebrate their differences with some vaudeville, some make believe, and a lot of charm. With a story full of "good songs, good comedy, and plenty of heart" (Talkin' Broadway), A Year With Frog and Toad is a musical about an enduring friendship that weathers all seasons.

A Year With Frog and Toad runs May 3rd-May 11th. The production has a running time of 70+ minutes, and is appropriate for audience ages 3 and up. There will be a cast meet and greet after each show.
