Join the Westerville Parks and Recreation Civic Theatre as they take the stage for the summer production of Seussical. This magical musical is sure to be fun for the whole family!
Seussical is a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza! The Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust containing Whos, including Jojo, a Who child sent off to military school for thinking too many "thinks." Horton faces a double challenge -- not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left to his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping, and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant.Seussical is a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza! Performances: Thursday thru Sunday, July 30, 31, August 1 at 7:00 pm and August 2 at 2:00 pm. Performances will take place at Westerville Central High School, 7118 Mount Royal Ave. Tickets will go on sale Wednesday, July 1. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at the Westerville Community Center, 350 N. Cleveland Ave. Seating is reserved, so early purchasing is encouraged.
