Columbus Children's Theatre is thrilled to be sharing an entire season with Columbus that celebrates family. Families come in all shapes and sizes. And CCT wants to celebrate the diversity of families that are found all around us. Everyone tells a different story and our season highlights some of those stories.

Except where noted, all performances will take place at the Park Street Theatre, 512 Park St.

From best pal drama to her first pair of glasses, Junie B.'s school year is one for the books. Sneak a peek into her "Top-Secret Personal Beeswax Journal" and see how she overcomes adversity in a way only she knows how. Based on four of Barbara Park's best-selling books, this charming musical will capture your heart just as the book series has captivated readers for over twenty-five years!

"Mr. Scrooge" Nov 24 - Dec 23, 2017 - A tradition returns to Columbus Children's Theatre this holiday season with Mr. Scrooge, written by CCT's artistic director William Goldsmith. This is the story you know and love presented in a family-friendly, hour-long performance. Join Tiny Tim, Bob Cratchit, Jacob Marley, and dozens of other colorful characters as we watch Ebenezer Scrooge change his ways when he learns the true meaning of Christmas. Bring your entire family and see how this heart-warming classic fills audiences with joyous holiday spirit!

"Little Red Riding Hood" Jan 11 - 28, 2018 - Over the river and through the woods to grandmother's house Little Red goes! But this spunky red-caped girl runs into a lot more than the Wolf in this fairytale forest. One of the Three Little Pigs, Snow White, Rapunzel, and even a Steward with a glass slipper cross her path on her way to grandmother's house! Based on the Grimm Brothers' story, this joyous rendition of the classic fairytale is an action-packed hour filled with lots of laughs and some fun audience participation.

"JACK and Phil, Slayers of Giants, INC" Feb 15 - Mar 11, 2018 - Regional Premiere - You know the English fairytale Jack and the Beanstalk - imagine the story happening today with a comedic twist. Jack is the popular kid in Chewsville who enlists the assistance of his nerdy neighbor, Phil, to help save his home from foreclosure. The pair travels across their hometown to a pawn shop where they exchange Jack's family heirloom watch for "magic beans" and a sage warning. Once the beans grow into the largest beanstalk anyone has ever seen, the friends begin a dividing quest involving golden objects, a talking harp, fame-crazed parents and a man-eating giant. Adventure and excitement abound in this modern-day fairytale.

"The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" Mar 29 - Apr 22, 2018 - The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is based on the beloved C.S. Lewis' magical, timeless classic from his Chronicles of Narnia series. When Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy Pevensie arrive at the English countryside during the Second World War, they discover an enchanted wardrobe that spirits them away to the land of Narnia. Here they get entangled in a struggle between the mysterious, magical lion Aslan and the White Witch, who wants this astonishing country frozen in perpetual winter. This classic tale of love, faith, courage, and giving, with its triumph of good over evil, is one of the most enjoyed stories of our time.

"Annie" Apr 26 - May 13, 2018 - With equal measures of pluck and positivity, this Tony-award winning musical charms everyone's hearts despite Annie's lowly start in the world. This musical follows Annie as she grows up in the orphanage under the cruel Miss. Hannigan and is the spirit that keeps all the other orphans going. In the depths of 1930s New York City, she is able to find hope in finding a family. Along her journey, she happens upon a lovable mutt named Sandy, billionaire Oliver Warbucks, and his personal secretary Grace Farrell, within all of whom she finds the family she has been missing.
