convergence-continuum closes its 2013 Season, Ruled by Passion, with its modern American classic presentation for the season: Sam Shepard's FOOL FOR LOVE.

Mismatched lovers, searing jealousy and long unspoken secrets form the center of this masterfully constructed work by Sam Shepard. Fool for Love brings searing intensity and rare theatrical excitement in its probing, yet sharply humorous study of love, hate and the dying myths of the Old West. The scene is a stark motel room at The Edge of the Mojave Desert. May, a disheveled young woman, sits dejectedly on a rumpled bed while Eddie, a rough-spoken rodeo performer, crouches in a corner fiddling with his riding gear. When he attempts to console May, who is distressed by Eddie's frequent absences and love affairs, she seems, at first, to soften - but then she suddenly attacks him. As the recriminations pour out, and the action becomes at times physically violent, the desperate nature of their relationship becomes apparent - they cannot get along with, or without, one another, yet neither can subdue their burning passion.

Fool for Love is directed by convergence-continuum's Amy Bistok Bunce and features con-con actors Clint Elston as Eddie, Rachel Kolis as May, Robert Hawkes as the Old Man and Stuart Hoffman as Martin.

Fool for Love opens Friday, November 29 and runs at 8 p.m. Thu-Sat through December 21 at the Liminis, 2438 Scranton Rd., Cleveland, OH 44113 in the historic Tremont neighborhood. Tickets are $15 general admission, $12 for seniors and $10 for students. Reservations and information at www.convergence-continuum.org and 216-687-0074.
