The Deep Dish Theater Company will present another of its Side Dish events, Ho, Ho, Ho!, on Friday, December 3 at 7:30 p.m. Admission for the evening of readings is a suggested donation of $5 or a non-perishable food item, with proceeds to benefit the Inter-faith Council's Food Bank.

Ho, Ho, Ho! will feature humorous seasonal pieces including Ron Carlson's The H Street Sledding Record and James Thurber's rewrite of A Visit from St. Nicholas. Readers will include Joshua Purvis (who appeared in the Deep Dish production of Glengarry Glen Ross) and David Carr, who curates the Deep Dish Short Story evenings.

"Story-telling plays such an important role at this time of year," said Artistic Director Paul Frellick. "We're thrilled to partner with the Inter-faith Council to offer these poems and short stories, which capture so many aspects of the holiday season."

Headquartered in Carrboro, The Inter-Faith Council for Social Service helps individuals and families achieve their goals by providing shelter, food, direct services, advocacy and information to people in need. Baking goods, canned meat, pasta and pasta sauce, canned beans, cereal, and rice are among the essential foods always needed at the IFC food pantry.
