Civic Theatre School (theatre by children, for children) will present "Annie, Jr." an adaptation of one of the world's best-loved and most-performed family musicals for four performances only, April 10-12 at Civic's historic Nineteenth Street Theatre. The cast of this production consists entirely of students from the Civic Theatre School. Tickets cost $18 for adults and $12 for students and children.

Leapin' Lizards! With pluck and positivity, Annie charms everyone she meets despite a next-to-nothing start in the Depression-era New York City of the 1930s. She is determined to find her parents, who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of an orphanage run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan. When billionaire Oliver Warbucks decides to invite an orphan to his mansion for Christmas, Annie gets her chance to experience NYC anew outside the confines of the orphanage. Despite Miss Hannigan's evil machinations, Annie befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and finds a new home alongside Warbucks, his personal secretary Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy.

"Annie, Jr" stars Hannah Whitson as Annie. Erin McGowan plays Miss Hannigan. Jackson Haught is Oliver Warbucks and Aubree Williams plays his secretary Grace Farfell. Also featured in the cast are Dylan Gambos (Rooster), Malerie Razzis (Lily), Molly McGorry (Molly) and Jonathon Krippe (FDR).

The ensemble cast also includes 85 students from across the Lehigh Valley. These students have been enrolled in Civic Theatre of Allentown's educational programs during the 2013-2014 academic year.

William Sanders and JoAnn Wilchek Basist co-direct and choreograph this one act musical. Musical direction is by Brian Foley.
