The White Plains Performing Arts Center (WPPAC) is proud to announce an exciting season consisting of three Mainstage productions, four Conservatory Theatre productions, two guest productions and staged readings of new works. All performances are at the White Plains theatre, located on the third level of City Center off Mamaroneck Avenue in downtown White Plains.

The Mainstage focus is a return to familiar, award-winning Broadway shows with a family-friendly focus while the Conservatory Theatre continues to gain momentum with well known contemporary works which are attractive to younger audiences. WPPAC's commitment to the development of new works will continue as part of the Monday night First Look series.

The 2011-2012 Season:

JULY
8, 9 & 10: Broadway composer Jason Robert Brown's Songs for a New World featuring a 30 piece orchestra and 10 multi-talented performers. From the same production team that presented last year's smash hit Edges, Songs for a New World will be a co-production of the New Musical Theatre Series and WPPAC.

SEPTEMBER
16, 17 & 18: WPPAC partners with Harrison Summer Theatre to present the New York regional premiere of Broadway's Spring Awakening. Winner of eight TONY Awards, this landmark musical explores the journey from adolescence to adulthood with great poignancy and passion.

OCTOBER
11-23: Menopause, the Musical, presented by GFOUR Productions. This "Hilarious Celebration of Women and the Change!" is set to classic tunes from the 60's, 70's and 80's.

NOVEMBER
4, 5, 6: The Drowsy Chaperone, winner of five TONY Awards, is presented by the Conservatory Theatre and boldly addresses the great unspoken desire in all of us: to be entertained.

DECEMBER
9 -18 and 28-30: WPPAC is proud to present for the holiday season, one of the most beloved Broadway musicals of all time, CATS. Based on the universally popular poetry of T.S. Eliot and winner of seven TONY Awards, this musical theatre phenomenon will include matinee performances and special events for young audiences.

JANUARY 2012
13-15: Conservatory Theatre brings back it's sold out 2011 rendition of The Rocky Horror Show with an added midnight showing on January 14. Complete with audience participation and deliberately kitschy, rock ‘n' roll, sci-fi performances, this LIVE performance is more fun than ever!

MARCH
9-18: The WPPAC Mainstage will present Ken Ludwig's Lend Me A Tenor. A sensation on Broadway and in London's West End; this show is packed with hilarious hijinks of operatic proportions, guaranteed to leave audiences teary eyed with non-stop laughter.

APRIL
13 & 14: The Conservatory Theatre will present one of the most performed and moving plays in America today, The Laramie Project. The production of the original play will be followed by a presentation of The Laramie Project: TEN YEARS LATER on April 20 & 21. This bold new work is particularly germane as we confront the very real issues of tolerance and bullying in our schools. The WPPAC Conservatory Theatre is proud to present school-time performances of both plays and encourages interested groups to contact the theatre for group sales pricing.

MAY
11-20: The Secret Garden, presented by the WPPAC Mainstage, will round out the season with the enchanting musical version of Frances Hodgson Burnett's beloved classic novel.
