The Skidmore College Department of Theater is pleased to announce its Spring 2015 black box production, THE PENELOPIAD by Margaret Atwood, directed by Emily Moler '15. Performances are February 27-March 4, 2015. All shows are in the Janet Kinghorn Bernhard Theater at 8:00pm, except for the Sunday matinee at 2:00pm.

Synopsis: In a splendid contemporary twist on The Odyssey, Margaret Atwood has chosen to give a voice to Penelope, wife of Odysseus, and to her twelve maids. In this dazzling, playful retelling, the story becomes as wise and compassionate as it is haunting, and as wildly entertaining as it is unsettling. With wit and verve, drawing on the story-telling and poetic talent for which she herself is renowned, Atwood gives Penelope new life and reality--and sets out to provide an answer to an ancient mystery.

Seating is very limited, so reservations are a must!
