Fresh off a successful run in Ithaca, the Kitchen Theatre Company's production of Black Pearl Sings! is moving to the Geva Theatre Center in Rochester. It will be the first play in Geva's 2014 Fielding Studio Series, devoted to the work of contemporary playwrights.

The Kitchen Theatre cast and production elements are all making the move: actors Lisa Gaye Dixon* and Emily Dorsch* will work with director Sara Lampert Hoover** to make any adjustments needed for the new space. The set, by David L. Arsenault, was designed with the move in mind; the entire thing fit in one truckload. Anthony Mattana's original music and sound designand period costumes by Lisa Boquist will also be used for the Geva production.

The Kitchen Theatre Company's production of Black Pearl Sings! was named one of the Best Five Productions of 2013 by BroadwayWorld CNY, and the Ithaca Times raved about the "fireworks between two towering actors in top form." The Kitchen is excited about the collaboration with the Geva Theatre Center and proud to share this production with a new audience.

Black Pearl Sings! will run at the Geva Theatre Center from January 23 to February 9. For more information, visit www.gevatheatre.org.
