CABARET presented by Clocktower Players Teen Troupe - Friday, February 7, 2014 at 7:30pm & Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 7:30pm - Irvington Town Hall Theater - Irvington, NY.

CLOCKTOWER PLAYERS, the not-for-profit resident theater company of the landmark Irvington Town Hall Theater, produces vibrant, jubilant theater enriching the lives of our community. For community. By community.

Willkommen to the tantalizing world of The Kit Kat Klub, 1930s Berlin. Through the eyes of young American writer, Cliff Bradshaw; the beguiling nightclub singer, Sally Bowles; Fräulein Schneider and her elderly Jewish suitor Herr Schultz; and the people of Berlin, this groundbreaking musical uniquely explores an era in which history is truly being made.

Under the sway of its lasciviously charming Emcee the decadence of the nightclub becomes a shattered mirror reflecting a society spiraling toward disaster with the rise of Hitler's Nazis.

The fabulous Kander & Ebb score features notable musical numbers including, Willkommen, Cabaret, Don't Tell Mama, Two Ladies and Tomorrow Belongs to Me -- a folk melody that turns into a rousing march, a promise -- and a threat scarier than the show's looming swastikas. One of the defining musicals of all time, this Tony Award-winner broke new ground in theater, intertwining social history with dazzling entertainment in new and dangerous ways.

Thought-provoking and mesmerizing, this production is a must-see. Mature content.
