Cash Prizes Awarded at Chenango River Theatre's Spring Raffle

With 80% of the total tickets already sold, now's the time to buy your ticket to have a chance to winning $7,500 in Chenango River Theatre's 5th annual raffle. Cash Prizes including $7,500, $1,000, $500 and five $100 prizes will be drawn. All told $9,500 will be given away and you don't have to be present to win - but you want to be since there are special prizes drawn just for those in attendance.

And even if you don't end up winning, buying a raffle ticket gets you a fun party with great music from renowned area band Cobblestone Crossing, complimentary wine, beer and food, and a chance to support the area's only fully professional theatre company.

The Raffle Party will be held at the theatre from 6-9pm, Saturday, April 30. Cobblestone Crossing will perform two sets throughout the evening - after wowing last year's crowd, this year they'll play songs you didn't hear last year from their extensive play list. The band has opened for The Kingston Trio and plays music by American & Irish folk groups, like Peter, Paul & Mary; Nitty Gritty Dirt Band; John Denver; Woody Guthrie, Lightfoot, The Limeliters, The Irish Rovers, The Weavers, etc. There's even a light touch of bluegrass, country and an up-tempo spiritual or two. With great music, humorous banter, and sing along songs, an evening with Cobblestone Crossing is always a fun and exciting performance that keeps audiences calling for more.

Baron's Inn will be catering, with a hot and cold buffet in the lobby offering plenty of delicious options. The theatre will provide free beer and wine, and door prizes for those in attendance will include rare, private label California wine, theatre tickets and of course, the possible thrill of being handed a big jar stuffed with $7,500 in cash.

The Raffle Party is open to everyone (plus your guest) when you buy one of the 250 raffle tickets. Tickets are $100 - if you split a ticket with a friend, each person sharing the ticket can still bring a guest to the party (maximum 4 guests to a ticket).

This fundraiser helps support CRT's many discount ticket plans to help make the highest quality theatre affordable to anyone in the community. Raffle tickets are available by calling the theatre's office (after April 20) at 656-8778, or from any member of the Board of Directors.
