Don and Jeff Breithaupt, the award-winning composer and lyricist that comprise the Breithaupt Brothers, make their Birdland debut on Monday, March 2, 7 pm, bringing their "gift for tuneful theatrical fare" (The New Yorker) to the jazz corner of the world with their all-star Songbook Revue celebrating the world-wide release of the brothers' recent CD, "Just Passing Through: The Breithaupt Brothers Songbook Vol. II."

The Breithaupt Brothers have twice been short-listed for the "Fred Ebb Award for Musical Theatre Songwriting" and twice won First Place in the Jazz category of the USA Songwriting Competition. In the words of Grammy Award nominee and frequent Breithaupt Brothers interpreter Kate McGarry: "While the rest of the world goes to hell in a hand basket, the Brothers Breithaupt are working feverishly to make sure we arrive there with a few suitcases of worthy additions to the Great American Songbook. This is important work, and no one is doing it with more flair, wit, and love of the craft than these two. Bravo, gentlemen!"
