T. Oliver Reid, a veteran of numerous large-scale Broadway musicals, who won last summer's third annual "MetroStar Talent Challenge" at the Metropolitan Room, 34 West 22nd Street, will headline at the club in a new show beginning February 10. The premiere of "This Love I Know" plays a total of five consecutive nights, Thursday through Monday February 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14, all at 7pm. Opening for Reid during the run will be his co-finalists Cindy Marchionda (the first runner-up) and Amy Beth Williams, the second runner-up, who will perform short sets on
alternating nights.

Reid, who dazzled throughout the competition, prevailed over a pool of 51 contestants in the 8-week jury and audience-voted elimination-round competition. He then emerged as one of the highlights of the Mabel Mercer Cabaret Convention at Jazz at Lincoln Center in October where
his appearance was resoundingly well received. Stephen Holden of The New York Times said of Reid, "the wistfulness of his tone and the smoothness of his delivery are all his own."

"This Love I Know" -- with music director Larry Yurman on piano, Damien Bassman on percussion and Mark Vanderpoel on bass and guitar -- features songs that Reid claims have gotten him through many loves, both of the "falling-in-love" and "on-to-the-next" varieties. In the
past twelve years, Reid has worked on Broadway in some the Great White Way's biggest, splashiest hit musicals. These have included "Chicago," "Kiss Me Kate," "Follies," "Thoroughly Modern Millie," "Never Gonna Dance," "La Cage Aux Folles," "The Wedding Singer," "Damn Yankees," and "Mary Poppins."

Produced by The Metropolitan Room, "MetroStar" encourages singers across a spectrum of styles and from any age bracket to present well-rounded stage performances in which creativity, innovation and authenticity are prized over vocal pyrotechnics. The third MetroStar culminated on August 30.

"This Love I Know" performs Thursday through Monday February 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 at 7pm. Reid's music charge is $25. For reservations call 212/206-0440.
