Martinis Above Fourth is determined to regain their title as the #1 Team for this year's San Diego AIDS Walk Team; in 2011 and 2012, they were the top producing team over all. This is Martinis Above Fourth | Table + Stage's 9th year participating in AIDS WALK. Each year their team raises over $30,000 and has consistently been among the Top 10 teams. This year marks the 25th Anniversary of the AIDS Walk.

Martinis Above Fourth is kicking off their fundraising season tomorrow, Thursday, May 29th at 8 pm by welcoming Broadway World Winner Robyn Spangler for her venue debut in her one woman show, Why I Love Linda Ronstadt. Robyn is donating a portion of the proceeds to Martini's AIDS Walk Team in memory of her best friend, Mark Miller. Martinis' General Manager will be on hand to promote the Team and sign up new walkers, "Our goal is to get walkers and contributors to sign up and donate early. We will be offering special discounts and bonuses for people who sign up and reach different levels which will be valid all the way up until AIDS Walk."

Why I Love Linda Ronstadt is a musical journal of a young woman growing up and her life's emotional experiences mirrored those depicted in Ronstadt's wide array of material. This critically acclaimed show shares life experiences punctuated by the various styles of Ms. Ronstadt, from the big band songs, to the pop songs, country and a dash of Mexicali for spice. Linda Ronstadt is best known as the queen of the "rock ballad" with her string of hits in the late 60's and early 70's but that's just the beginning of a four plus decade career in music that includes almost every genre. Those who have heard Robyn Spangler sing know that crossing genres is what drew her to showcase Ronstadt's career. Robyn's Ronstadt music is performed with the original Nelson Riddle charts that were used on Linda's recordings under an exclusive arrangement with the University of Arizona. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Riddle/Ronstadt collaboration.

Broadway World Winner Robyn Spangler is quickly becoming a familiar face to the cabaret world and has performed at the most prestigious concert and cabaret venues across the United States including The Gardenia Room in Los Angeles, Davenports in Chicago, The Arthur Newman Theatre in Palm Springs, and The Metropolitan Room in New York. Miss Spangler recently appeared on the Summer Nights Cabaret Series at Yale University, Royce Hall in Los Angeles, the Grand Old Opry in Nashville and Carnegie Hall in New York.

Robyn's musical director is San Diego favorite Todd Schroeder. Along with two partners, Todd opened "Schroeder's Club and Cabaret", San Diego's first Cabaret room featuring top Cabaret performers from around the country. Currently, Todd is on tour with Sam Harris promoting Harris' new book "Ham: Slices of Life".
