For the second year in a row the Tony nominated and Emmy-winning Liz Callaway headlines New Year's Eve at the Metropolitan Room, 34 West 22nd Street. "Celebrate! New Year's Eve with Liz Callaway" performs twice - once at 7pm and again at 10:30pm. Her "eleven-o'clock" special guest (for the late show only) will be her celebrated sister Ann Hampton Callaway.

Stephen Schwartz, Maltby and Shire, Ahrens and Flaherty, and much more.

In his review of Callaway's acclaimed Metropolitan Room engagement last season,
Stephen Holden of The New York Times said she has "a big, bright Broadway voice that illuminates a room like a ray of sunshine beamed to the rafters." Combining this with her sunny disposition -- equal parts charm and intelligence - guarantees that the Metropolitan Room will be one of the most incandescent venues in the bright-lighted city.
The cover charge for the 7pm show is $45 (plus a two-drink minimum). The late-show's cover is $139 (plus tax and gratuity), which includes free-flowing hors d'oeuvres, dessert, a champagne toast and open bar.
Seen most recently on Broadway in "The Look of Love," Callaway made her Broadway debut in the original cast of Sondheim's "Merrily We Roll Along." Besides "Baby" (for which she was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical) she starred in "Cats," "Miss Saigon" and "The Three Musketeers." Callaway released a new album, "Passage of Time," last fall.
