Tony Award-winning LES MISERABLES onstage and onscreen star Frances Ruffelle will be coming to NYC for a special show at 54 Below tonight, May 22.

Fans of the chanteuse will have a chance to see her in a rare live stateside performance at 9:30 PM for the provocatively-titled new solo show BENEATH THE DRESS.

Ruffelle bills BENEATH THE DRESS as a story and song-centric show "in which Frances brings you an evening that's all her, celebrating 'women who love to entertain,' via the music from the stage and beyond that made them great."

Selections from LES MISERABLES - particularly her irreplaceable original iteration of Eponine's "On My Own" - are to be expected, as is a tune or two from her recent successful run as the title diva in PIAF in the UK. Who knows, maybe "Stranger To The Rain" from CHILDREN OF EDEN, too? With a talent as versatile and accomplished as Ruffelle's on offer, anything is possible!

In addition to originally starring in LES MISERABLES onstage in the West End and on Broadway, Ruffelle also appears in Tom Hooper's super-successful movie musical version, as well, as a singing prostitute.
